Howard told media sources, “It’s amazing; this is my third time here, and it’s always fun to come to the Philippines.” He went on to say that the Philippine basketball fans make him want to play for the organization. Howard also said that he went to Thailand last year for a visit, and fans kept telling him he needed to go back to the Philippines.
The former NBA star also expressed his hope for the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) to reconsider its height restrictions, which currently prevent him and other international players from participating. Howard’s focus, for now, is on winning a championship in Dubai, with his future plans to be revealed soon.

The Strong Group Athletics is a men’s basketball team founded in 2023. The team represents the Philippines in international basketball competitions, including the Dubai International Basketball Championship (DIBC).
