The NCAA will introduce a special event featuring Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (ML: BB), a widely recognized esports title in the country, before the conclusion of Season 100.
NCAA management committee chairman Hercules Callanta of Lyceum of the Philippines University announced that the ML:BB tournament is scheduled to begin on June 28, with the first-round robin reaching its conclusion on June 29.
The second-round robin will take place from July 12 to 13, followed by the offline finals from July 25 to 27 during the Philippine Game Development Expo (PGDX) at the SMX Convention Center.
Callanta stated that the ML:BB competition is not currently part of the regular events calendar but indicated that the NCAA may consider its inclusion in the future. The event aims to highlight popular games in the Philippines that are not presently included in the standard NCAA programs.
Past eSport Events Hosted By The NCAA
NCAA schools have previously participated in esports events. In 2021, the Collegiate Center for Esports (CCE) conducted an ML:BB tournament with participation from all 10 member schools, with several teams including notable collegiate basketball players.
According to Callanta, the league’s previous experience with esports competitions influenced the decision to feature ML:BB this year, and he also mentioned that Valorant will be featured next year.
Esports Philippines has organized competitions among NCAA member schools over the past two or three years, providing experience in hosting such events.
Betting On Esports Online
Philippine bettors have multiple options for betting on eSports and gaming events. The most popular way to place a wager on eSports is online with popular sportsbooks like BetOnline and MyBookie. However, you can also find some eSport odds at domestic sports betting locations and terminals found around the country.
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) forbids betting on college events hosted by the NCAA and UAAP. Therefore, for this event, you will be limited to the online sportsbooks we review that accept PH players.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

ML:BB is one of the most popular first-person shooter games in Southeast Asia, with over 100 million monthly players. In 2019, ML:BB was included in the SEA Games, and the top-ranked teams were awarded a medal for the event.
