Bongbong Marcos and Manny Pacquiao

The Philippine presidential election is just under a month away, and it is safe to say Sen. Manny Pacquiao is now a long shot after falling behind Bongbong Marcus and Leni Robredo on the odds boards.

Manny Pacquiao For President

Senator Manny Pacquiao officially announced his candidacy on October 1st, 2021, when he filed to run for the 2022 Presidential election. Pacquiao’s candidacy was praised as he is a well-loved super-star boxer and current Senator of the Philippines.

After announcing his 2022 campaign, Pacquiao was hit with criticism from Apollo Quiboy and current President Rodrigo Duterte after a video of Pacquiao surfaced with him talking about corruption in the current administration. President Duterte addressed the leaked video and challenged Sen. Pacquiao to prove his claims.

Pacquiao is also associated with the PDP-Laban party like current PH President Rodrigo Duterte. However, Duterte cannot run in the 2022 election as he has reached his term limit (6yrs), although there has been some speculation that he would run for vice-president.

Bongbong Marcos – Current Favorite To Win PH Presidency

Former Senator Bongbong Marcos served in the Senate from 2010-to 2016; he has also served as a representative and a governor in Ilocos Norte. He is also the second born and only son of the former dictator, kleptocrat, and President, Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

Bongbong Marcos officially announced his candidacy for Philippine President in 2021. Marcos is affiliated with and running under the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) party.
