Philippine Governor's Cup 2021-2022

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) has announced that they will resume the 2022 Governor’s Cup conference by the first week of February if given the green light by the Metro Manila local government units. The announcement was released on the PBA Website.

PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial stated that the league is waiting for confirmation to begin scrimmages. Each team will be allowed to hold ten scrimmage games before the conference resumes.

THE LEAGUE VOLUNTARILY STOPPED the PBA Governor’s Cup in January of 2022 after two weeks of play due to the spike in Covid-19 cases across the country and specifically in Metro Manila.

Betting On PBA Basketball

Betting on the Governor’s Cup is legal, with offshore sportsbooks available to Filipino bettors. These online sportsbooks operate legally from other jurisdictions but can accept Filipino bettors under current gambling laws.

Online sportsbooks typically offer the most bang for your buck with favorable sports odds, welcome bonuses, and other promotions. In addition to the tons of sports betting lines available online, you will find PBA basketball odds, including game lines, futures, and props. These odds are typically listed as the tournament gets close to the conclusion.

Philippine Betting Laws

Gambling laws in the Philippines state that domestic sportsbooks cannot offer betting lines on domestic events or sports inside the country’s borders. However, our research has shown us that due to Covid-19, these rules have been rescinded to help domestic sportsbooks operate during the restrictions and lockdowns.

Domestic sportsbooks such as MegaSportsWorld have been granted permission to operate online during the pandemic. Still, it is unknown if they will continue online operations after the Philippines returns to normal.
