PFL two week season

The Philippines Football League (PFL) has officially started their 2020 season, but fans aren’t happy that it will only last for two weeks.

Don Palami, the National team manager, told media sources that the season is being streamlined for financial reasons. PFL staff and players are currently staying at hotels in a theoretical “bubble” at the National Training Center about 40km south of Manila.

Under normal conditions, each of the six teams would play each other four times. However, this year they will only have one shot to defeat their rivals. National team manager Palami said that the expenses are too much, and not enough money is coming in to warrant a full season. Most of the PFL games will be broadcast online until the season is scheduled to end on November 12th.

The decision to have a shortened season was supported by both teams and sponsors alike. Other leagues, such as the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), have also started their season in a bubble. However, the PBA makes a lot more money than the PFL and can afford a longer season.

While finding betting lines for the PFL can seem like a challenge, our PH legal soccer betting guide can help you make an educated decision on which sportsbooks offer the most betting lines for Philippine sports.

Philippine gambling laws forbid domestic sportsbooks from offering betting lines on Philippine events such as the PFL. However, no laws prohibit you from placing a bet online with one of the reputable licensed offshore sportsbooks. Online sportsbooks offer betting lines from multiple sports and leagues from around the globe. With soccer, you will find lines from leagues in Austria to Ukraine, including everything in between.

For most Filipinos, the only thing stopping us is the deposit methods at offshore sports betting services; however, there have never been more convenient options than there are right now. One of our favorite trusted sportsbooks BetOnline, offers multiple ways to deposit PHP in either USD or cryptocurrency. We often suggest using Bitcoin since it is secure, and no deposit or withdrawal fees are associated with Bitcoin.

Once you create an account, you can bet on Philippine sports, including soccer, mixed martial arts, boxing, baseball, football, and more. What makes signing up even sweeter is that most of the brands we suggest offer other gambling services such as online casino games, poker, live dealer games, simulated sports, and more in addition to their sports betting lines.

Despite the PFL not giving fans much of a 2020 season, it is cool that they could provide us with something, and if we are lucky, we will have betting lines on the matchups soon.
