While moving the Philippine Cup back to the Pampanga Province is still up in the air, PBA commissioner Willie Marcial has not ruled the idea out as Metro Manila is set for two weeks of extreme lockdown.
Last week Marcial told the media that the league is looking to resume the Philippine Cup at the site of last year’s expensive bubble. Batangas Province was the PBA’s primary choice for relocation, but due to its current quarantine classification, that does not seem to be a viable option.
The Pampanga Province is currently under more relaxed conditions located just north of the Metro Manila capital region. They are also the spot of the last year’s bubble conference, so they are already accustomed to what is expected to continue play.
Marcial also stated that they will need a few days before relocating and that the league has not investigated other locations if Pampanga also goes under restrictive lockdown.
Betting On 2021 PBA Basketball
Despite all that is up in the air, PBA odds are available for the remaining matchups in the Philippine Cup. Online sportsbooks like 22Bet and 1xBit both currently have odds for Philippine basketball.
Online sportsbooks offer multiple ways to bet on the PBA, including game lines, futures, and props. You can also combine bets in parlays for bigger payouts.
To make depositing and withdrawals easier, sportsbooks offer a slew of banking options for Philippine players. The fastest transactions occur with cryptocurrencies that you can purchase with PHP. Other popular options include bank wire transfers, Visa, Mastercard, peer-to-peer vouchers, and more.
What We Know
While relocation is still not set in stone, one thing we do know is that the PBA and commissioner Willie Marcial are doing everything they can to salvage the 2021 season.
Last year, the PBA finished the Philippine Cup in Pampanga, but the other two conferences were canceled due to its costly nature. As restrictions ease, we will see more Philippine basketball betting options emerge.
