Rodrigo Duterte receives his vaccine

Malacañang has announced that athletes participating in the 2021 Olympics and Southeast Asia Games (SEA) will be giving priority to the COVID-19 vaccine.

Athletes looking to get vaccinated as soon as possible can now do so, but they can also choose to wait for the vaccines procured by Enrique Razon and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC).

Like many other countries worldwide, COVID cases in the Philippines are currently spiking and causing all sorts of problems. As sports leagues and national teams trying to prepare for competition many are experiencing setbacks due to national restrictions.

National Restrictions In Manila

In Manila, there are currently numerous restrictions in place that limit gatherings of people in public places. In light of the restrictions, some Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) teams have recently started practicing outside of the National Capital Region in hopes of starting their season as soon as the restrictions are lifted.

The Philippine government is regularly assessing the virus situation in the Philippines and is updating its restrictions as needed.

2020 Tokyo Olympics

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics have been rescheduled for July 23- August 8, 2021, and will continue despite several countries unsure about sending athletes to the games. There have been several protests in Japan concerning hosting the games, but government officials have assured all participates and the public that the games will be safe.

2021 SEA Games

The 2021 SEA games will take place on November 21 – December 2, 2021, in Hanoi, Vietnam. One of the significant developments concerning the 2021 SEA games is the addition of multiple eSports in this year’s contests. Some of the games included in the competition are Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, League of Legends Wild Rift, Free Fire, Fifa Online 4, and Crossfire.

Betting From The Philippines

Philippine online sportsbooks offer betting lines on everything you can imagine, from sports to politics and more. Betting on the Olympics and the SEA games is possible when the games are near; however, there are no odds at this time. We expect those lines to become available once all the teams and events are confirmed.

Our favorite online sportsbook for betting on Olympic competitions and the SEA games is BetOnlineBetOnline tops our list because they offer many deposit and withdrawal options. Philippine residents can use it to their advantage, including cryptocurrencies, vouchers, and VISA.

With the use of crypto funding accounts and withdrawing, winnings are easy and fast. Bitcoin users often see transaction times under 10 mins, and some other cryptos can be even faster.
