Philippine bettors can rest assured that betting lines will soon be available now that the federal government has approved resumption for football and basketball training sessions.
In a nationally televised briefing, President Duterte’s spokesman Harry Roque confirmed that the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) approved the recommendations of the Games and Amusement Board (GAB) and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) to allow football and basketball teams to return to practice following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The GAB’s proposal to resume includes specific guidelines to keep athletes safe while general community quarantines (GCQ) are still in effect. Practices will only be allowed to accommodate five athletes in areas that are still under quarantine. In areas that are not mandated to quarantine, up to 10 players may be accommodated.
The PBA was the first Filipino league to suspend operations just three days after the 2020 season begun in March. With no game lines available, betting on the PBA also halted due to the pandemic.
Legal online sportsbooks for Filipinos are looking to return to action by providing game lines, futures, props, and more. Online sportsbooks like BetOnline offer betting lines for PBA events and other Philippine sports, including esports, football, and more. PH bettors can also find many international betting lines for sports, including baseball, soccer, tennis, golf, boxing, and more.
Despite restrictions being lifted by the IATF and PBA, there has been no official announcement when the leagues will return to play. PBA commissioner Willie Marcial told media sources that the league hopes to resume in 2020. The above-mentioned approved proposal confirms that the league is working hard on restarting its 2020 season. Now let’s see those betting lines.
